HCC's Remote Fill option enables a pharmacy to shift the filling of assigned prescriptions to a fulfillment service provider (central fill site) or to a self operated centralized fulfillment operation. Refills are processed prior to the due date to better manage labor and inventory costs.

This also may help in the battle for ninety day supplies for competitive PBM plans or make better use of your robotic investment when you operate multiple sites. Pharmacists can spend more time managing their pharmacies and caring for patients who remain under their direct care.

How It Works

All prescriptions are processed through FDS EZ Data Warehouse where formulary rules are applied to identify qualifying prescriptions.

These selected prescriptions are enrolled in the Auto Refill Maintenance program and the pharmacy is notified approximately seven days prior to the next refill date via a message in their HCC pharmacy system Rx queue.

The pharmacy staff chooses whether the prescription is filled locally or allocated to the Remote Fill provider.

Remote filled prescriptions are delivered back to the pharmacy for quality control review and patient pick-up.

Requirements

Customers must have a current maintenance agreement with HCC and a service agreement with FDS, Inc. for switch and EZ-Data Warehouse services.
